More information

Gerard Desroches was employed for 12 years by the St. Albans Grain Company.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 7 April 1944 and arrived in France in January 1945.

Pvt Desroches was killed by small arms fire in the back.

He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 26 March 1945. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place on 22 July 1948.
