Pfc George W. Herrell attended Central High School. He was employed for several years at Killpatrick's Store and later at the Glenn L. Martin-Nebraska Company.He enlisted at Camp Dodge Herrold, Iowa on 26 June 1944 and was sent overseas in December 1944.
