1st Lt Harry L. Theophilus graduated from West High School with the class of 1937.He enlisted from Lockbourne Army Air Base, Columbus, Ohio on 3 April 1942.
A flak hit caused the ship to drop out of formation. Enemy aircraft then struck. The A/C crashed on shore of Lake Constance, near Bregenz, Austria. Harry Theophilus was unable to bail out, due to low altitude. He perished in the crash.
