Pfc Thomas J. Finneran graduated from the Roxbury Memorial High School and was a retail manager.He enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 2 August 1943 and was sent overseas in July 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
