Pfc David H. Moore graduated from Lincoln High School and was employed at Seattle Tacoma Ship Yards.He enlisted in Seattle, Washington on 30 August 1943.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
During high school Pvt Moore was known for his wood carving. On one picture he presents one of his works to his high school as a farewell gift before entering the army.
