Pvt Herbert W. Clark attended high school for two years and was employed at the United Shoe Mach Company before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 5 July 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
