Capt William O. White Jr. attended the University of Georgia for three years and was employed at J. E. Sirrine and Company.
He enlisted at Fort McPherson, Atlanta on 25 July 1940.
He joined B Company of the 134th Infantry Regiment as a 1st Lt on 29 July 1944 and was lightly wounded in action on 1 August 1944. On 4 January 1945 he was wounded in action again and taken prisoner.

He was taken prisoner and died in Germany. The exact location is not known.
