Pvt Robert R. Mach graduated from McKinley High School and attended the University of Iowa of one year.He enlisted at Camp Dodge, Iowa on 17 August 1943 and was sent overseas in June 1944.
He was killed by small arms fire to this chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France
