Pfc Charles M. Culter attended high school for two years and was employed at the Navy Yard on Mare Island, California before he enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 9 December 1943.He was wounded from artillery shell fragments to his chest on 12 November and died a day later.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
