S/Sgt Raymond L. Kress attended high school for three years before he joined the Regular Army at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 18 August 1941. He was sent overseas in November 1942.He was killed by small arms fire in his chest and leg.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
