T/Sgt Lee R. Cavin was taken Prisoner of War on 17 December 1944 in the vicinity of Krinkelt, Belgium. He was liberated by American troops on 9 April 1945. He died on 1 May 1945 of pneumonia due to malnutrition and worse.
