S/Sgt Charles C. Lawecki enlisted on 17 November 1939.

He enlisted while a Har-Brack student. He was first stationed in Panama for 43 months. Returning to the U.S. he went to Camps in Georgia, North Carolina and California, serving as an instructor and quartermaster clerk. Transferred to Texas, he was transferred to infantry duty. Less than a month after he went into the European Theatre he was killed in action in Germany.
