Sgt Maurice B. Tench enlisted at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia, on 16 February 1942.

Crashed trying to reach Sweden.

It was his first mission with his crew. He was stationed at Podington, England AFB. He was one of 3 killed in the plane. The others were captured and sent to a POW camp.
