Statement of 2nd Lt Charles C. Kanzi:"This A/C was hit by flak then went into flat spin and fell to about ten thousend feet pulling out for a few seconds and then into a tight spin and burning. Several members of crew were seen to bail out. Did not notice whether plane hit ground or not due to evsive action taken after bombs away."
He is remembered at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.
