The aircraft took part in a bombing mission to Wilhelmshave, Germany but did not reach the target as flak disabled the plane and it fell into the North Sea. No search was made.Five bailed out over the North Sea and 5 were killed.
S/Sgt Kenneth G. Murray is remembered at the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Oklahoma.
