More information

1st Lt John T. Kelleher graduated from Superior Central High School in 1941 and was a cook.

He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Marshfield, Wisconsin on 14 May 1942.
The aircraft was first hit by flak over the target and then hit by enemy aircraft.

It is assumed the entire crew of nine men was killed. Three men are commemorated at the Tablets of the Missing at Henri-Chapelle, seven men are commemorated at the Tablets of the Missing at Cambridge Cemetery.

The official date of death is 10 September 1945 for all crew members. The reason is not known.
