Daniel V. Ohmanworked as a clerck.He enlisted in Chicago, Illinois on 6 August 1941.
Returning from a bombing mission to Kassel, Germany the limping aircraft was attacked by a German fighter and was shot down.
Eight crew members bailed out but were attacked by the German aircraft. From a crew of ten, two died in the aircraft, six died as a result of the strafing, and the other two were captured by German ground forces.
