Pfc Michael R. Stefanko attended McKinley High School and was employed by the Timken Roller Bearing Co.He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 4 March 1942.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand Failly, France.
His brothers Joseph and Paul also served with an infantry unit in France.
