T/5 Kenneth R. Stopfer attended high school for four years and was an attendant at a filling station before he enlisted in Trenton, New Jersey on 17 April 1941.

He was taken prisoner in Wiltz, Luxembourg on 20 December 1944 and died in Stalag XIII-C.
