T/5 John A. Kennett was employed as a supervisor at the Pittsburgh Post Office before he enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 19 February 1943.He was taken prisoner and died of his wounds, probably in a German field hospital. The location is not known.
He was initially buried at Frankfurt Mausoleum Cemetery, Germany.
