Pfc Jefferson Long attended Harper High School for four years and was employed at the Santa Fe Railway Company before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 28 October 1943.
He is remembered at the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
