Lt Col Jack J. Richardson graduated from Athens High School and West Point Military Academy.He was killed by enemy shell fire.
His brother, Robert L. Richardson, lost his life in January 1945 when he was forced to bail out, when the B-17 he was piloting, caught fire. His body was recovered several days later from Lake Sabine, Texas.
