Cpl Jack Freestone attended Central High School and was an architect.

He joined the National Guard in Flint, Michigan on 15 October 1940 and was sent overseas in October 1944. He was wounded in November 1944 for which he was awarded his first Purple Heart.

Cpl Freestone was killed by multiple bullet wounds to the head.
