Sgt Harold Petersen’s father emigrated from Denmark, his mother emigrated from Norway.He attended high school for four years and worked as a clerk in a financial institution. He joined the National Guard in Newark, New Jersey on 6 January 1941.
According to his WWII Hospital Admission Card File, Sgt Petersen died of drowning on 4 May 1945.
