Pfc Albert J. E. Oberring was employed at the E.I. Du Pont De Nemours & Co before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 2 November 1942.He was killed by small arms fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
