S/Sgt Steve Mokrycki attended high school for two years and was a driver before he enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 17 November 1941.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
