Pfc Clifford L. Larson attended high school for three years and worked on the farm of his father.He was married to Arlene Christianson on 28 September 1941. After the marriage he was employed on road construction in eastern Montana and Nebraska until 22 February 1943 when he enlisted.
He trained at Fort Snelling, Minnesota and Camp Campbell, Kentucky where he served as a cook. He was sent overseas on 14 June 1944.
