S/Sgt Max J. Snyder worked as a retail manager.He enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 3 June 1942.
At approximately 1315 hours the plane, at position 48° 30' N, 01° 20' E, went into a steep dive as the result of direct rocket hits in the nose from Fw 190s. It pulled out to a shallow incline and three parachutes were seen emerging from the plane. The plane then went into a steep dive and the eyewitnesses believe they saw the crash through ground haze at Bolbec, Seine-Maritime (49.57176 N, 0.47051 E).
S/Sgt Max J. Snyder was first buried in Saint-Cheron Chartres France.
