S/Sgt Edward J. Sedinger worked in the fabrication of metal products.

He enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 24 July 1942. He graduated at the Aerial Gunnery School in Las Vegas, Nevada and was then stationed at Blythe, Calif., where he had been promoted to Staff Sergeant and awarded the silver wings. He had been in England about six weeks before he was killed.

The plane was attacked by enemy fighters and left the formation near Geilenkirchen, Germany. It was last seen on fire and exploded in the air near Horn, Netherlands.

Six crew members survived and were taken prisoner, four men were killed.
