Sgt Ernest A. Pickering attended high school for three years.He enlisted on 14 July 1942 in Enterprise, Utah. He trained at Camp Carson, Colorado and Camp Butner, North Carolina.
He was promoted to Private First Class on 25 January 1943, to Corporal on 12 October 1943 and to Sergeant on 19 April 1944.
He died of wounds received on 10 April 1945 in Germany.
