Capt Paul O. Wofford graduated from Arlington High School in 1934 and graduated from Texas A&M College in 1940.
While crossing the Rhine in a boat, on 26 March 1945, the boat was hit in the middle by a 20mm shell. The boat exploded and most of the men in it, were killed or drowned.
