Pfc Henry J. De Ramo graduated from Rayen High School and worked for the Commercial Shearing & Stamping Co.

He enlisted in Akron, Ohio, on 3 April 1943. He trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Fort Hayes, Ohio.

He was wounded in Cherbourg, France, on 14 June 1944 and in Germany on 19 November 1944. For both wounds, he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
