S/Sgt Irving Mazur graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1941. He had focused on musci and was in the Orchestra, was the Band Manager belonged to the Music Honor Society and was selected to the 'All City' School band.Lt. David Manning's aircraft 42-52105 was hit by German flak. When the plane left the formation, German fighters pounced and shot down the stricken plane. The bomber crashed into the sea West of Terschelling. None of the crewmembers survived the crash.
