Pfc Robert Meitzler worked for the Consolidated Shipyards before he enlisted and volunteered to become a paratrooper in June 1942. In 1943 he was transferred to the 10th Armored Division and was sent overseas in September 1944.The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died is unknown.
