More information

Pfc Arthur E. Boulay was a road worker employed by the Tredennick Billings Co. before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 15 March 1944.
He trained at Camp Croft, South Carolina. He was stationed in Washington when he received his overseas orders in September 1944. Prior to his induction he was employed at the Pepperell Manufacturing Company. Pfc Boulay was wounded in action in France on 8 November 1944 and forwarded his Purple Heart Medal to his parents. After recovering in a hospital in England from shrapnel wounds of both arms, legs and neck, he returned to his unit. He was last heard from in a letter dated 24 November 1944, the date he returned to his outfit, his parents believed.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his neck.
