1st Lt Clarence E. Sliter graduated from Bellevue High School and worked as a manager before he joined the Regular Army on 7 April 1941.

He married Mary E. Tracy in Bradford, Florida on 7 June 1944.

He is also remembered at the Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
