S/Sgt Raymond S. Schulz was a chauffeur and rabbit farmer before he volunteered for the Army of the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 15 June 1942.

He was overseas for four months when he was killed.

His brother Howard also served in Europe.
