2nd Lt Joseph C. Beal graduated from Northbridge High School and the Tennessee Military Institute.He enlisted in Columbus Ohio on 12 July 1943. He had his officers training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
He was reported seriously wounded in action on 25 September 1944.
