Pfc Troy L. Wallace worked on a farm before he enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on 17 July 1942.

He was seriously wounded in action on 7 September when G Company was attacking the ForĂȘt de l'Avant Garde in the vicinity of Pompey, France.
