1st Lt Arthur E. Scoggins was an actor.

He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States at Morrison Field, West Palm Beach, Florida on 3 April 1942.

This aircraft fell out of the formation in the target area and was not seen again.

Only the pilot was killed. He was initially buried at the cemetery of Leeseringen on 13 February 1944.

The other nine crew members bailed out and were taken prisoner.
