More information
S/Sgt Albert A. Rosa attended Lorain High School. He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 19 July 1943.
1st Lt Richard F. Colip: "We were flying at approximately 27,500 feet altitude about 5 minutes after bombs away. Aircraft B-17G, 43-38212, was hit by one or more enemy fighters and, peeled out of formation, but seemed to be under control. The aircraft did not appear to be on fire. I followed the ship down for about 500 feet and when last observed it was still losing altitude but was under control. No parachutes were seen to come from this aircraft.
S/Sgt Albert A. Rosa bailed out in the area of Brunswick, Germany. He must have been killed by people after landing."
