1st Lt Edward Carrington attended Blair Academy.

He joined the Army in October 1940 and transferred to the Air Corps in February 1942.

Plane was hit by flak and set on fire. Two of us bailed out safely just before the plane blew up in midair. Neither of us ever saw any of the crew afterwards. Germans told us that they found 8 bodies in the wreckage.
