2nd Lt Francis J. Mc Gee graduated from Snyder High School and attended Pace University.

He volunteered for the US Army in Mitchel Field Hempstead L I, New York on 19 January 1942.

An aircraft believed to be B-17F 42-29940, piloted by 1st Lt Loog, was hit by an aerial bomb while flying in the target area. The aircraft was seen to explode and no further observations made.
