S/Sgt Anthony J. Dymek enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 6 January 1943.Statement from Kenneth J. Binder:
"At 1125, A/C #821 struck by flak, near 5001N-0817E. Jettisoned bombs one minute before bombs away. Blew up four minutes later, into two sections at waist, both sections going straight down."
The greatest number of chutes reported was four, one of which was reported to have been on fire. Two men survived and ended up POW. The remaining 7 crew members were KIA.
