Pvt Joaquin Hernandez attended high school for one year and was a construction worker.He enlisted in Fresno, California on 19 January 1943.
Pvt Hernandez was killed by artillery fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Cemetery of Molenhoek in the Netherlands.
