More information

2nd Lt Hugh F. Hogan attended the University of Connecticut for 2 years before he enlisted in Hartford, Connecticut on 15 December 1942.

The 3rd picture on the right is taken at the Lodwick School of Aeronautics at Lakeland, Florida in October 1943 when his mother, who he had not seen for ten months, visited him.

The aircraft received a direct hit by flak while on his bomb run. The right wing came off and a large hole was observed in the left wing. The ship then blew up as it crashed into the water.
The entire crew is listed on the Walls of the Missing at Margraten.
