S/Sgt Americo A. Crespolini enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 7 August 1943.The airplane was jumped by fighters after bombs away and started going down. It was not on fire and seemed under control.
S/Sgt is remembered on a memorial cenotaph in the family plot in Old Forge Cemetery, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
His brothers Italo J. and Allesandro Crespolini also served in WWII.
