S/Sgt Americo A. Crespolini enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 7 August 1943.His brothers Italo J. and Allesandro Crespolini also served in WWII.
Ship 940 was jumped by fighters after bombs away and started going down. Four Chutes were observed. Plane was not on fire and seemed under control.
S/Sgt is remembered on a memorial cenotaph in family plot in Old Forge Cemetery, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
