2nd Lt James T. Hardy graduated from South Side High School in 1942.He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Memphis, Tennessee on 23 April 1942.
Because the heavy attack made upon this group it was impossible to find any definite witnesses.
Six crew members were killed, three were taken prisoner.
