Our B-17 was shot out of the air by 20mm fire of FW-190’s.He died while he and the pilot and the bombardier where trying to open the forward escape hatch which was frozen and the airplane blew up.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
