S/Sgt Herve J. Paquin was employed at a shoe factory before he enlisted in Manchester, New Hampshire on 5 January 1943.

Over the target the airplane was hit by flak, causing it to crash near Schweinfurt.

S/Sgt Paquin bailed out but his parachute failed to open.
